webp has been supported for some time, and can be uploaded using the Image Manager, Image Manager Extended or File Browser.

Hmm... do I have to enable it somewhere? Shows unsupported format...

Ryan

It is enabled by default in the Image Manager, Image Manager Extended and File Browser.

The only issue seems to be when using drag&drop into the editor window. This will be fixed in the next update.

Shows unsupported format...

Please post a screenshot of this.

Hi Ryan,

I still have the same issue. I can upload .webp through Joomla Media Manager, but not JCE Image Manager. And, I cannot select any .webp images - they simply do not show. I can manually type in the path/file name and the image will show in Image Manager Preview. I'm currently using the DJWebp plugin but really want to add at least new images in webp format.

Help please :)

Thank you,

Gina G.

You were using an old version of JCE Pro - 2.9.8 - so I installed the latest version - 2.9.71 on your site, and added the webp file type to the Image Manager and File Browser Permitted File Extensions lists.

Thank you!!!
Hm... wouldn't 2.9.8 be newer than 2.9.71?
Well, no matter... it's all good now - thank s again.
